During a engagement to Lichfield Cathedral on Monday, King Charles was heckled by a individual who questioned him about Prince Andrew's relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The man inquired how long the King had been known about his brother's association with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had instructed the police to "hide" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the heckling, there were large groups of supporters and applause for the King, who was in the region for an ceremony.

The Duke of York's connections with Jeffrey Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The prince, who relinquished his titles earlier this month, has strongly denied any misconduct.

The monarch ignored the questions but carried on meeting supporters, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One fan can be overheard asking him for a hug.

Another woman outside the venue was also observed telling the heckler to "leave" and to "shut up".

Controversy Revived by Posthumous Publication

The scandal over the Duke of York's links to Epstein has been reignited by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's recently released memoir.

In the memoir, Ms Giuffre says she had sexual encounters with the prince on three separate occasions, including once with Epstein and "several other minors"

Prince Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with the plaintiff in recent years, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In 2019, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "at all", and that they "did not have any sort of sexual contact."

Fresh Questions About Lifestyle and Housing

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Royal Lodge has intensified the examination over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be summoned front of members of parliament to give evidence about his rental agreement of his lodge.

But last week, the government declined to give MPs time to discuss the prince's titles or his home, despite growing pressure for scrutiny.

Buckingham Palace has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might move out of his current residence - or where he might reside.
